The winners of the 12th Painting Competition organized by the Turkish Jockey Club (TJK) and deemed worthy of being exhibited met with art lovers in Izmir.
The exhibition, which opened at Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center, included 39 works on “Horse, Horse love and Horse racing”. Art lovers visited the exhibition featuring different works.
Painter Nadya Ateş, whose work titled “Champion Magician” was exhibited, told AA correspondent that she participated in the competition for the first time.
Expressing her happiness that her painting was exhibited, Ateş said, “I waited a long time for this exhibition. It is very nice to be here in a beautiful environment.”
Mother Ayla Aguş, who came to see her daughter Duru Bozkurt’s work titled “Multiplexing” at the exhibition, stated that her daughter had a talent for painting since childhood and that she was proud of her daughter.
The seventh exhibition of the competition can be visited until December 30.
The contest, organized by the Turkish Jockey Club with the aim of encouraging painting artists to create horse-themed works, contributing original works to Turkish visual arts, and contributing to the accumulation of culture and art, attracted 514 entries.
