Art Basel Hong Kong 2025: A Global Showcase
Art Basel has unveiled the exciting details for its 2025 Hong Kong edition, set to open its doors to the public on March 28th at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.
The 2025 fair will feature galleries from 42 countries and territories, with a strong emphasis on the Asia-Pacific region. A remarkable 23 galleries will make their debut at the event, hailing from diverse locations such as the Greater China Region, India, Kosovo, Guatemala, Nigeria, South Africa, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, Austria, and the United Kingdom.
Among the notable new participants are Aeneas Bastian Fine Art (Berlin), Nicelle Beauchene Gallery (New York), Berry Campbell (New York), blank projects (Cape Town), and Millan (São Paulo). While some galleries, including Galerie Eva Presenhuber, Helly Nahmad, Edward Tyler Nahem, and Lévy Gorvy Dayan, will not be returning, the fair continues to attract a dynamic and global roster of exhibitors.
For the first time, Art Basel Hong Kong will collaborate with the renowned independent space Para Site to curate a compelling film program. Additionally, the fair will host the inaugural MGM Discoveries Art Prize, offering a cash prize to be shared between the artist and their representing gallery, along with an exclusive opportunity to exhibit in Macau.
